About Us

Dana Brown Jr.

Dana, a McKeesport Native was a football student-athlete who graduated from Kent State University with a degree in education, and a minor in criminal justice. Dana helped Kent State to the top 25 and a MAC Championship appearance. Dana currently works as the Assistant Athletics Director in the McKeesport Area School District, and is the Head Football Coach at Baldwin High School. Dana has done a substantial amount of work with student-athletes since college graduation, and looks to continue his journey of inspiring young athletes. Dana recently received his Master's Degree from Point Park University in Athletic Administration and Coaching.

Ty-Meer Brown

Ty, also a McKeesport native was a football student-athlete at The University of Connecticut. After suffering a neck injury that medically disqualified him from participating in football at UConn, Ty earned his degree in Sociology, and finished his playing career at Boston College where he earned his Master's Degree in Sport Administration. Since graduation, Ty has worked as a Graduate Assistant Football Coach at Boston College, The Assistant Athletics Director for the McKeesport Area School District, a Football Academic Advisor at The University of Michigan, Assistant Director, Student-athlete Alumni Engagement at Boston College, Director of Development at West Virginia University, and currently works as the Athletic Director at Woodland Hills High School . Student-athletes have a special place in Ty's heart, and he lives for the opportunity to enhance the student-athlete experience

Robert Morris University Football

STATUS had the opportunity to bring young student-athletes to campus at Robert Morris University to visit the facilities, and campus life of student-athletes. During our trip, we had the privilege catch up with Sydney Audiger, Jamar Shegog, Trevor Renfro, and Alijah Jackson to hear about their student-athlete experience, and expectations for the upcoming season.
